I started with 0 sats and wanted to see if I could earn any without using money.
Here’s what I did — maybe it’ll help someone else starting out:
1. Install Speed Wallet Super easy Lightning wallet for Android. Took me like 1 minute. No KYC.
2. Join Stacker News This site gives you free “cowboy credit” so you can post even if you have 0 sats.
I made one post about my experience as a total newbie… and someone tipped me sats.
That was the moment it clicked: Lightning actually works.
3. Withdraw to Speed Wallet Once you receive real sats (from tips or upvotes), you can withdraw to your wallet.
No banks. No ID. Just Bitcoin.
Other apps I also tried:
- Fountain.fm → earn sats by listening to podcasts
- Slice (Android) → earn sats by browsing
- WheelofSats.com → free spins every 5 mins
- ZBD → good wallet & works with some games
That’s how I got started. Still learning, but I’ve gone from 0 to real sats in a few days.
