Using land to represent scarcity.
Bitcoin is more scarce than land.
Thanks for pointing out that I did not include the definition for a "digital land rush" in the glossary. A landrush was a historical event in which previously restricted land, ie property, of the United States was opened for homesteading on a first-come-first-served basis. Digital is defined as an abstract concept expressed as series of the digits 0 and 1. Therefore a digital land rush is an abstract concept of an event where land, ie property, was opened up on a first-come-first-served basis. Definitions for abstract concepts, digital rights and others are in the glossary.
