Pool Standings (Total Score - July 2025)

This is one rare average start to the month. We could have Bingos, had we get a complete match between TSK and WF. But rains curtailed that game to 5 overs and hence they could only manage 87. Overall, our previous month tie is still a tie with @User21000000 and @Carresan both getting 4 runs each. @Undisciplined should now recognise Canada's Got Talent! Annnd.... Coinsreporter's poor form is now eternal...very poor!
Best of Luck everyone! šŸ¤ž

Thanks for playing.
How did the Super Kings win with so few runs? Must have been some great bowling.
reply
Actually it was reduced to only 5 overs because of rain. Super Kings scored 87 only in 5 overs not in 20 overs. Freedom were required to score 88 runs in 5 overs which was like scoring 18 runs in a over or 3 runs per ball. Not impossible mathematically but it is always difficult to score at such a brisk rate for a chasing team due to scorecard pressure.
Actually the freedom bowlers didn't bowl well and let the super Kings batters score freely.
reply
I meant the Super Kings' bowlers must have bowled well for them to win with so few scores, but weather shortened game makes more sense.
reply
In a way you can say they bowled well to restrict them to just at 43. But it was the Super Kings batters in the first innings who already took away the game by scoring 87 in 5 overs (30 balls). They scored as many as 8 sixes and 4 fours out of 30 total balls. Now you can guess how ruthless they were.

Rain shortened game.

Not a bad start.
