Houston's Harris County Flood Control District is missing $1.1 billion from “funds available” in just one quarter, while only $43.9 million was reportedly spent.

It's wild how many stories there are like this.

It’s wild a single person gets paid 434K a year for a county job. Starting to think the citadel is the only way out of this mess we’re in as Bitcoiners.

A $1.1 billion drop in Harris County Flood Control District’s available funds—despite only $43.9 million in reported spending—raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability. The gap suggests possible mismanagement, reporting errors, or hidden reallocations. A full audit and public explanation are urgently needed to restore public trust, especially given the importance of flood control in the region.
