Japanese scientists, led by Professor Hiromi Sakai at Nara Medical University, have created a new type of artificial blood that can be used by anyone, regardless of blood type. Made from expired donor blood, this artificial blood carries oxygen like real blood and can be stored at room temperature for up to two years. In March 2025, safety trials began with 16 healthy adults to test its safety and effectiveness. Earlier small tests in 2022 showed no serious side effects. This invention could be a game-changer for emergency situations, such as natural disasters, war zones, and remote areas, where regular blood is hard to store and match. Japan hopes to finish all tests and make it available for real-world use by around 2030.

Wow!!
I think this part is the best...
"Any patient can be transfused safely without cross-matching."...
If this really becomes a reality worldwide!!
I think it would be a great help, especially in those traffic accidents that occur so often here in Latin America, for example.
