Of course Bitcoin isn't the main credible alternative to USD. But why would anyone want that anyway? Opt-in is the greatest good. I'm not going to zap you CNY commiedollars or USD commiedollars or NZD commiedollars. But feel free to convert it - it makes zero difference to me whether you do or don't.
My point is that while Bitcoin does provide superior qualities to users, such as opt in rather than state imposed compulsion, Bitcoin MoE is hugely obstructed, even in the 'liberal' west and even more so in the autocracies under which 70% humanity exist.
Instead Bitcoin is being subverted into a harmless (to fiat operators) speculative commodity plaything increasingly custodied and controlled by bankers and governments.
This reality is one usually denied by libertarian US Exceptionalist Bitcoiners.

If anyone thought this would be easy, then they're in a for a huge surprise. The real tests are performed against inside adversaries and the biggest battles are still ahead of us. The blocksize wars was nerds. Next are the scammers. Then the bankers and maybe the militaries. We haven't seen anything yet.
