Ahh yes LQWD Technologies
A LONNNNGG time ago when I was buying every single bitcoin equity I can burn my fiat on I heard about Lqwd I think on a podcast and proceeded to buy shares.
At the time the shares were dirt cheap thus could have went bankrupt but I didn’t care I thought it was cool to own a company that was using the lightning network to route payments and earn fees. I didn’t buy many shares and I completely stopped buying them after I heard known bitcoin dev Ben the Carman talk down on them. That must of been maybe 2022 or 2023?
Now we fast forward to 2025 and this company has caught a massive bid!! My basis for this stock is under $1 but only for a handful of shares.
So today bitcoin treasury wizard Adam Livingston breaks them down and why they could be Canada’s #1 Bitcoin treasury play:

Lightning Network Economics

After watching the video I thought about adding more shares to my position but I have concerns with UTXO management coming on board and loading this lean lightning focused company with debt and diluting investors just to buy more bitcoin. After Car’s rant about David Bailey I am starting to question what is true motives are. I hope UTXO management doesn’t ruin this business and they stay debt free and only raise equity to expand their lightning business but I might be naive at this point.
Right now will hold on to the little share I have and maybe start a DCA strategy until they do something dumb with UTXO I which I will dump the stock and move the gains into BTC.

Given the premium to BTC, why not BTC? I have like 5 shares now because I like the idea of owning some equity in a company providing lightning liquidity, but I bought in when 90% of the value was collateralized by BTC, so it seemed like a value play

It’s always BTC first but after you hit your stacking goal I try to look for opportunities to invest in great companies

At this price level, they will always be a buy offer... but if you have already accumulated enough of them, it is worth using aggressive DCA in % breakdown ;)
