Tracking my health with the Oura Ring is so much fun, entertaining, and motivating. You really learn to know yourself in a way...
Most of all, I enjoy the instant feedbacks, for example, I did the VO2 max test yesterday, the result was pretty good, and m'y heart health went from 3 too 3.5 years younger !
Here's another example: I was doing a specific exercise to reduce my heart rate and the immediate effect is clearly noticeable on the chart
PS: It's funny how digesting food brings my heart rate up in the same manner that walking does...

I use an Apple Watch for biometric tracking. But I've always been curious about the Oura ring. I wonder if it does a better job.

Seems like a cool way to learn about your body more objectively and quantifiably

While reading this and thinking about getting one I stumbled upon another "soon" available solution for health tracking with respect for your privacy and without a subscription model: https://zykeband.com It's not a ring but could be a good alternative.

Amazing. Zykeband looks promising. I really like the idea of locally processing your health data, which makes lots of sense, considering its sensitive nature. A major plus, imho.
I did research Oura's ToS, they make big promises about privacy, but you have to trust them. Also, to get more out of it, you have to share quite a lot of PIIs, a huge risk, but nevertheless, I decided to go for it. I still don't regret my decision, because their app is superb, and I can see how it can/will get even better in the next years.
