No, it's not intentional. I am just using Google News and I wasn't aware of this fact. TBH, I already got a few more complains about those from other SN users so I if it's a problem I will consider refraining from Google News.

It eventually takes me to the link when clicked, so you can still use google news if you click through. Idk
