I think the most salient point is that Bitcoin isn't really doing anything. It's not fighting the State; it's not fighting a Revolution; it doesn't care about any drama on the news cycle. It's just doing what it does with mathematical precision, like any other clock. There's some “action through non-action” for you!

That's one of my critiques of the proposed thesis Bitcoin is a “weapon” or that we should call it such. Even if I agreed with that, I don't see the utility of naming it one.

Its simple existence obliges humanity to respond to it, the same way a mountain's simple existence obliges us to either climb it or go around it.
