We've got to put an end to shitcoinery. If it's not Bitcoin, it's a shitcoin.

We have to educate noobs on how self custody is the only way to actually own or use Bitcoin.

You don't own any BTC until you control the keys.

BTC without self custody is just a promise that ain't worth shit.

What else do you want everyone to know?

Be careful what you wish on SN... are many bitcoin maxis haters here, ready to jump on you, saying that the toxicity is bad for Bitcoin bla bla.

I was trying to have serious nice discussions about Bitcoin only things here, bringing up things that have to be addressed or fixed in BTC and LN.

Not so many answers from BTC/LN, as I was expecting, but I am sure that was because they also are kinda scared of the haters and shitcoiners reactions that only want to fuck up all.

Just look at the plethora of bullshit links are posted here. Few really good content and/or links about Bitcoin and life in general are posted. Is like the whole reddit crap is not re-posted on SN.

I tried for a while to keep up posting good stuff about Bitcoin, some of my guides (I don't want to shill them here) and also fighting with all those shitcoiners. Even if you tip or boost or upvote a good content on SN, is not enough. For 1 good post you will have 10 shit and in the end you get lost in all that crap and your attention is going AWAY, leaving you a bad taste and get bored.

And @k00b and @ThrillerX_ I would like you to read this.

I raised several times the question of creating separate type of content. I know is harder to maintain and moderate that kind of stuff. But I would like to see some categories:

  • meta posts, nice posts to read and discuss
  • only news, where yes, people can post news links, but please don't repeat them endless for 2-3 days.
  • promotions, new products, shill your bitcoin company (not shitcoins or fiat shitcoins)
  • jobs we already have and is nice
  • guides and tutorials. We have quite a good number of content creators that are doing nice video tutorials (BTC Sessions, 402 payment required, J. Levi etc). I saw many new users asking for this kind of guidance, let's give them what they need.
  • podcasts episodes, where those podcasters could post their own episodes and new bitcoin users could just pick one to listen, to have the right info at hand.
  • keep the main front page SN with general stuff and important stuff, clearing up all the NOISE.
