OK, so to your more material arguments: is a person's argument invalidated by their mispronunciations and/or not knowing the book they're talking about?
Absolutely not. But it's a good goddamn first-pass that the person you're engaging with is an idiot/pretender/grifter.
given what I know from Bunney's sloppy writing and inattention to detail (i.e., from the ~400 page book of his I actually read), I think I'm in the clear here to conclude that he doesn't know what he's talking about.
...but he pretends to. Is he therefore stupid in some cosmic sense? Perhaps not. Perhaps this is all a big misunderstanding. Am I in the clear denouncing him as such? Absolutely.
I've encountered plenty of smart people who don't watch internet videos and pronounce names or words incorrectly because they've only ever read the words. BUT THEY"RE READING TEH WORDS.
