Emojis are the worst feature on GH, because they invite for meaningless, zero effort up and down emojis that turn software development issues and pull requests into Facebook.
On SN, use that Lightning button and ...->downzap if something is abusive. Don't diffuse the superior mechanism we already have. Nah from me.
I was talking about text in posts/comments, not reactions.
For reactions I also prefer the current mechanism. For that, there's the possibility of zaps with reactions as in nostr, but I'm not arguing for it at the moment.
