The Florida Panthers aren't the first and won't be the last to damage the Stanley Cup amidst their celebratory exploits. I mean if the Cup doesn't get damaged in some way is it really a victory celebration?

Not only the Stanley Cup, but many other cups have been damaged during celebrations (and will continue to be damaged)...
There have been...there have been cups that were stolen and no one found them for many years.
