13th amendment was ratified after June 19 on Dec 6, 1865
Emancipation Proclamation preliminary was Sep 22, 1962. Final Proclamation was on Jan 1, 1863
The Emancipation Proclamation didn't apply to the territory controlled by the Union, though. It was mostly a military tactic, as I understand it.

Even if we count it, three years is crazy fast for such a change in the social order. Think about how many parents thought for sure they'd have their kids sold off and that they'd all die enslaved, but then got to live out relatively normal lives. It's crazy to think about.
