I had created a discussion post, then there was additional information that I was wishing there was a way to either still edit the post (which should not be an option, after the 10 minutes, or whatever), or maybe a way to append with additional information.
Then I was like ... or, if I could put the update in a comment, and then pin that comment -- that would be useful. But SN does not have comment pinning, of course.
Then I was like ... idiot, I can just comment and then boost that comment to the top, no pinning need.
Then I was like ... idiot again, comments don't have a boost option.
So my question was ... for commenting on my own posts, ... should they have a boost option?
The workaround is, of course, to tip using a different account on SN. So not a big deal, just wanted to share this scenario.
I'm putting an investment (my time) into the content I post here on SN. Therefore, I am now curious if that content will still be available in the future.
Is SN resilient against DDoS attacks? And, what if something like Ransomware were to somehow disrupt operations, ... is there a good likelihood that SN could recover with minimal loss of data? Will I be able to obtain a dump of my content (So I can add it to a personal archive)?
Ever since I been orange pilled feels like I never have enough hours in the day to get to everything I want to do. From listening to podcasts, reading articles, watching YouTube videos, it’s like I’m 100% consumed by this space. Lately I been pondering should I close all my Lightning node channels and start fresh since I can’t change my channel fees. Takes a long time to build a rep and costly to close channels but I feel like I’m missing out on the fun of routing. Also trying to fix my Sphinx app. Completely went dead with my sats in there lol. That’s all I got for today thanks for letting me put this stream of Conscience here
One metric I use to time buying is that I'm shocked at the fall but I'm almost simultaneously afraid that it'll go lower and I should wait. Those feelings tend to coincide with bottoms for me. Intuitive analysis like this is probably fraught with bias though
