Last time I checked in, I had just gotten to a good sales meet via cold calling. We had the call and it was good, but agreed we weren't a match right now. Maybe in a few months. So, move that cold call into the medium-term prospect column.
Got my bid in on a project. We'll see if they like my submission.
Went to an industry conference and just walked up to people to see how we might fit. It was the kind of event where people were networking quite openly, so I felt social permission to follow suit. More leads, and some maybe-matches.
So far, people like what I'm slinging enough to keep talking. I even got into pricing with one guy and he agreed I'm in reasonable territory. That's a good sign, but it's not a sale. These are six-figure contracts I'm pitching. I only need one to get up and running, but I have to close something soonish or it is time to change the approach.
Overall, feeling pretty good despite the complete lack of tangible accomplishments.
