I have a question to libertatians here. Especially people who have read and thought out a lot of theory on the topic.
Suppose you are a company who wants to build a railway. You have the money to purchase the land of where the track would be at the current market prices. Unfortunately when you start purchasing the land some property owners may decide to seek more money from you than they would otherwise. This is not because the land is suddenly more valuable, but because the technical nature of the railway requires that exact piece of land (it's not like a shop where you can just purchase a peoperty few hundred meters down the road). Are there any thoughts on this and similar situations?
