If they make decentralized recommendation system or search engine I would be impressed, but now... It's just a hype.

I like the general idea of https://www.presearch.io/, but it doesn't use LN.
I think a similar project based on Bitcoin and LN or RGB could be really interesting.

It's closed source and, may be I'm wrong, but it looks like a proxy that uses or mixes results from other search engines.

Yes, it's a kind of meta-search engine. It's far from perfect, but I like the general idea, which could be improved and based on LN to build a true open source decentralised one, I think.

Search engine is a tool that converts super-decentralized web to a hyper-centralized inverse index (that fits on a single server in an ideal case), and also collects and analyzes all it's users search sessions to rank search results better. I mean that search engines is more like the opposite of what decentralization usually means and how it usually works. And I don't believe that effective decentralized search is possible on a current level of technical progress.
