49ers need to have a number of things go right because their depth is questionable but if the Eagles take a step back which I expect they will, the NFC is wide open. I don't trust the Lions after losing their OC and DC. Daniels second year as a QB- will there be a slump? The Rams have a nice team but relying on Stafford staying healthy and not suddenly looking old. 49ers have a ton of cap space. I expect they will still be active in trade and FA market and definitely at the trade deadline if they are playing well.
The schedule is weak and everybody showed up to OTAs and mini camp, even Trent who never goes. These guys are pissed about last year and want to prove they are still Super Bowl contenders. Even diva Aiyuk was present working with and helping to coach up the young WRs while he is rehabbing from the ACL injury.
I think the league, media and vegas are all drastically underestimating how good the 49ers can be this year.
On the flipside all their core guys could get hurt again and the wheels could completely fall off. I don't think we will have a middle ground. They are either going to be great and make a deep playoff run or the wheels are going to fall off and they will miss the playoffs. I don't see a 10-7 season where they barely sneak in and get beat in the WC round.
Their odds have been drifting upwards, and that's probably not entirely because of my arbitrage plays.
