This might not seem like a huge deal but this is significant! The US has never done this before even though it is not only safer but produces less nuclear waste. On top of that with the additional time between refueling cycles that means the reactor is up and running even more! Huge move that should slowly spread throughout the rest of the USs nuclear fleet!
