We are watching anarcho-tyranny in real time in democrat cities. The videos of looters breaking into stores during these "protests" is really telling. Sure, there are legit protesters that really care about what is happening to people but its incredibly dishonest of the democrats to pretend like this is the iron fist of Trump.
I feel ya man.
It blows my mind how so many people seemingly pretend to not realize what is happening around them. How common theft has become. How fake the politicians are. There's a reason Trump one and you are looking at it now in LA. Its what you get when one side focuses on virtue signaling without real change and reform.

Indeed. And I'm disturbed by my own emotions over this. Philosophically, I'm opposed to an overly strong government and a police state. But emotionally I find myself siding with the force of law against the protesters. And if I feel this way, imagine how many more must feel similarly, or even more strongly. It seems this is how brutal dictators can get into power on a popular mandate. Scary to think about.

Indeed. The mistake is thinking the issue is the strong man. No the mistake is allowing society to get into a condition where a strong man is seen as the only solution. That's where we are.
I firmly believe many on the left are doing nothing as a strategy to build their own support. Provoking violence and thereby justifying left with authoritarianism / power. It's not good. The focus on the people is really the biggest mistake.
The truth is we have erroded our cultural bonds which is largely based around faith to such an extreme that many seem to have lost any moral compass. Its not good.
