Hey fellow designers.
I’ve been exploring how modern UI/UX trends especially the dominance of minimalism might be limiting creative expression in apps and websites.
While clean and simple designs are great for usability, it feels like everything is starting to look the same—bland colors, cookie-cutter layouts, excessive white space. Remember the days when UI had some personality?
My questions to you:
Is this just a natural evolution toward better usability?
Or are we slowly sacrificing uniqueness for the sake of efficiency?
Have you seen any recent apps or websites that break the mold successfully?
Would love to hear your thoughts, examples, or rants. Let’s talk design that dares to stand out.
