Keep bringing your kid to the mountains. It's great to experience the difficulties of the hike together and also share the reward of the view up top together. Keep them interested by stimulating their imagination with surrounding sceneries or play word games with them. They have more endurance and are more resilient than you probably think.

Yea, it was good to have some quality time with the wife.
Went for a 7km round trip walk with my wife at 5am this morning to see lotus flowers. Apparently, the flowers only bloom in the morning and would close up back into a bud in the afternoon. We also went early because of the heat later in the day.

More to the south too. Averaging 30C+ everyday. Man, I'm really not used to this.
Went for a run this morning. 11km at 5:49/km average pace. A new point of view for a new perspective in a new place: it's fucking humid and hot on the other side of the Pacific.
Thanks for the mention. I agree this is a great use of money. The US national parks are just top notch. Every one that I've been to were well maintained, beautiful, and very accessible.
I hope you will take some time to visit Yosemite in the future. It is an absolute beautiful place. Be sure not to make the same mistake I made, and stay to see the sunset plus evening sky. We did not do that and I've been regretting it.
I was doing laundry and packing for my trip today, and ended up not doing my push ups. Also skipped the cold shower. At least I got my long run done.
Today's stats:
- no push ups
- 18km run at average pace of 5:44/km
- no cold shower
- 27167 steps and still counting
They definitely haven't yet thank us for making them hike in the rain numerous times. But at the same time, they didn't have a choice, haha.
