Supported some of the projects I think are most interesting or in need in Bitcoin (with sats, hope to be more involved with some projects in future, hopefully.)
Attended a conference (maybe more for me, but I think it's showing support again)
Didn't sell any of my bitcoin to Blackrock
I'd say more but it's been a pretty undulating year.
Well, that was quite a scathing take. Not many points given for any successes, or even half successes.
Did something bad happen because of El Salvador's adoption, or it's just the fact that the IMF leaned on the country to impose its own demands, like it has in the past and will, time and time again?
No worries, I got there
無料 (むりょ) means “free”.
How to vocalize that in Japanese, 無 mu, 料 ryo ?
Just wondered about the etymology.
I'd recommend. Not sure I've found m/any other email provider that offers quite as many tools as Proton does and does it so well. Even with a free account, it's basically good enough to use for secure email with other Proton users.
Not sure all of the services warrant paying so much. Having a walle and password manager are nice features. Useful in combination with secure layered thinking, as you said.
I just really don't like the alternative of having a google/apple device, OS, email, cloud services. It's whack.
Well. Almost as people were freaking out about opening lightning channels less than 1m sats, it's not ncessarily a problem if you keep that payment channel open. It serves as infrastructure, you are opening your own bank account with your own bank.
If you really don't have enough sats in your bank to open a few channels (with one utxo) then you could always use some kind of federated liquidity pool.
Did that make any sense. No?
I think there's a bit too much fixation on utxos and wallets.
If you could use the idea of paying for groceries with a ten dollar note and receiving five dollars and twenty cents as one utxo, how long would you possess or own that utxo?
Just like people use frictionless payments, it really doesn't matter all that much if you can transact. That said, if you have a bank account, that's helpful.
