I think the beauty in this is that families and laborers will have more power because the default will be their real wages increasing (vs decreasing).
Ok boss you want to renegotiate my wage lower? Here are my terms...
Way better than Lumberg holding your purchasing power hostage in exchange for later hours to make him rich...
The Entire Surveillance Economy.

Never mind the long term damage we do to you your children and their children!
how would one put pressure on Mehta to change course or at least punish him in some capacity so others can't repeat the behavior?
Totally agree that zoomers are coddled.
That said there are some really great zoomers out there that are bucking the trend. I've had some great experiences coaching zoomers in sports (very physically demanding sports at that). There are zoomers that do realize the entire edifice they're in is bullshit and strive to self improve think critically and work hard. They've been completely failed by the neoliberal order that controls everything. It's not their fault.
I personally can't write them off just yet. I choose to be patient and try to make a small difference one person at a time.
Always attack the left from the left and the right from the right. I only really know American politics well but I'm sure there are good examples from each country:
For leftists: point out endless wars that torment & kill the poorest minority children all over the planet. The blatant, rampant, and unapologetic corruption. The fact that regulation screws over regular people by making everything way too expensive, especially in the housing market.
For right wingers: the ridiculous spending. The fact that Social Security is a government funded ponzi that holds 0 assets and is just one giant liability.
I got in a heated debate with a miner at a recent conference and his basic argument was:
- If we don't do something then miners won't be profitable
- Hash rate doesn't matter
- We just need more money NOW
I tried to point out that there's always going to be new frontiers for cheap energy, hashrate fluctuations, operational innovation and other dynamism in the market.
It seems like shitcoining on the dev side and pure desperation on the miners side. I don't envy miners. It's kind of like having to run a Just In Time Sats Inventory system and most fail at it...
- Most important: 30 minute call where you dive into exactly what the other party wants to accomplish
- Clearly communicate the limitations to your knowledge & availability
- Leave them with a call to action such as: "Let me think this over and I will either decline or shoot you a proposal for deliverables + compensation"
