Thanks a lot! It’s a great idea, but it somehow never crossed my mind. Definitely worth working on it thoroughly — could be big if done right.
One of those pre-Bitcoin timelines popular on Twitter back in the day kinda inspired me to organize every bit of Bitcoin history I could find.

There’s a non-zero chance he can be revived in some shape or form. But I strongly believe he won’t admit he is Satoshi, even if he is Satoshi or a part of the group behind Satoshi pseudonym.
Plus it is unlikely that Hal was Satoshi. Jameson Lopp put together a comprehensive case against it here.
That said I’d love to see Hal back with us, visit a couple of his lectures.
Thanks for joining, a lot more to come!
Got 500+ events in the database, a few dozen more are found and waiting to be added. So yeah, got a few days with no events here and there, but most days have some history to share. Digging through cypherpunks’ mails, Bitcoin obituaries and other stuff to provide some historical context for fellow plebs.
Happy to hear you find it useful (or at least entertaining).
I’ve certainly thought of displaying upcoming events, but I don’t think I’ll be able to implement it any time soon. I’m crazy about history, so I want to finish that part first.
That said, many people are more interested in preset and future, and I want this app to serve the community. So yes, will think of a decent way to frame this and probably add it to the roadmap too. 2026 is gonna be exciting.
Love it! Big fan of Markdown — it was my bridge that helped me transition from the guy using Mediums and Substacks of the world to the man trying out Jekyll, then Hugo and now building my own websites.
It’s also why SN feels like home 🧡
