Exactly, they are still in the "Christmas wishlist" stage.
I think the offline option is bs yet I suppose it could be achieved with a card?
Exactly.
I imagine such mean of pressure would only be really effective if enough people do it, yet it is already great if individuals can use it "locally".
Printing money out of nothing will probably always be done and I suppose it's not necessarily bad when there's a real need for it, so it's more about people being aware of what it means, how it impact their life and having the possibility to keep it "checked".
We're still far of a world where Bitcoin changes the power balance globally but it became a goal that gives me hope, which I had not before. That's ok for me at the moment.
It starts by yourself accepting it and signify it. Put a sign on your shop, your website etc... Give discounts when ppl pay you in btc. Ask your boss again and again, even if they laugh at you.
And of course, there's the hardest part, convincing others. If you're bad at it, like me, well ... then let the others do it. Live your best life and the others will come to you.
You can also move to a place where it's much more accepted and used.
But yeah, we're just still in the fiat world, that's it.
Agree. And your guides are great. I especially like those that explain how to use Lightning as a "mixer".
Sure and especially back then when I would just try and bunch of stuff without really understanding. At the same time, trial and error always been my way (yet, "turn it off and on again" doesn't seem so good with those).
But right now, I just wanted to share the story, rather than getting help, as I'm not in the mood to look at it. And also that I don't remember it all.
Thanks!
I think I can say I am, as I've been paying my bills with this activity for a while.
Drawing I'm doing since I'm a kid (I'm over 40) and I also been in an art academy but it was during teenage, no university. After that it's mainly in an autodidact fashion and then doing everything D.I.Y., from printing, exhibiting, selling etc...
I think it's right on minimum specs (CPU: IntelĀ® N4000, GPU: IntelĀ® UHD Graphics, Memory: 8GB) so if it is to only run the node + the Electrum Server, it should be okay. I had read somewhere the "problem" with Umbrel is that you have to resist installing too much apps (if your machine isn't super powerful).
But now I even feel like the hardware is fucked. I mean, even after formatting there were still issues. I can't even be sure if it's the machine that shuts off or if I'm just refused to access it.
I'm also really not a savvy when it comes to anything Linux and Network related ...
