I completely understand the Americans who voted for Trump because his promises are closely linked to economic growth and the improvement of social, educational, and other conditions in America. (If I lived there, who knows, maybe I would have voted for him too, seeing all those promises, although I think most of them are just campaign promises). It seems that the Biden administration had crossed the line with left-wing policies, and in such situations, a populist like Trump finds it much easier to win. Without getting too deep into analysis (I am not an expert in this field), I hope that the new presidency is a good one for Americans.

What I don't understand is the enthusiasm of so many people (non-Americans) who live outside America. Even in my own country, many people were happy about Trump's victory. Political talk shows are still talking about it.

How can people who aren't American and don't live in America be happy when Trump's policies are only for the good of his country? To him, the rest of us are "the rest of the shithole", as he has said.

He also doesn't care what his allies think. For example, Trump's priorities do not include NATO (which many countries, including my own, are proud to belong to because NATO is supposed to protect us in case of danger). His idea of an end to the war in Ukraine is the surrender of Ukrainian territory to Russia. As for the war in Israel, his support for Israel has only increased, making a solution even less likely shortly.

Trump's supporters expect him to bring solutions to the wars, but no one knows how he could resolve them.

In terms of economic development, Europe could become even weaker economically because Trump is in favour of boosting exports and minimizing imports. This will further increase Europe's trade tariffs with the US; perhaps the dollar will also strengthen. I won't even go into his immigration policy, which is well known, or his environmental policy.

So what economic solution would Trump offer to non-American states?

What is there for non-Americans to celebrate in Trump's victory?

Can anyone explain this to me? I am trying to understand.

I walked again along the narrow sidewalk where roadwork was being done and went down the wide boulevard. Because of the dust raised by the heavy machinery, the lights of vehicles appeared hazy to me, and traffic lights, spaced apart from each other, pulsed above the smoky horizon of the large boulevard—the largest in our city. 

I waited a few minutes for the bus, and after five stops, I got off right at the entrance to Tringa’s neighborhood. The old prefabricated apartment buildings added sadness to the night, and each balcony painted differently seemed to try to cover up the shame of those ugly buildings that belonged to another time and reality.

Somewhere, I had read that communist architects deliberately designed the small apartments so people wouldn’t have the chance for critical thinking or privacy, and without privacy, they wouldn’t have the opportunity to form individual opinions or to conceive of any possible revolution. They knew that the path from thought to action was very short, so they took care to make the homes resemble traps. And I remembered the novel I read, _Life in a Matchbox_, which attempted to explain in its entirety the impact of these boxes of concrete and lime on the collective psyche of the citizens of my country. 

This was the greatest crime against humanity that the dictatorship had committed: to narrow spaces, to surround oneself with old walls, and to never have, for a single moment, the illusion of space and horizon within oneself. The small windows only added to the pain, offering just a limited view of the world. 

Everything that existed out there and came through the windows was limited. In a certain way, along with life, they had also diminished our illusions, and consequently, our dreams.

Tomorrow is the big day for all Americans: election day. I would dare to say that it is an important day for the whole world because American politics (fortunately or unfortunately) have a great impact on the whole world.

How do American stackers feel about this event? 

Are you ready (spiritually and physically) to express your will through voting? 

I hope you will vote wisely and choose the best option for America first and the rest of the world second. As citizens of the world, we should be careful who we give the power to govern us, especially in a country whose policies affect many other countries in the world. So folks, you are not just voting for yourselves, you are voting for all of us non-Americans. Think about that when you go to vote. 

We are also on the last day before we switch to the new zapping and stacking system on SN. I hope you all have your external wallets connected and are ready to zap and stack sats. It would be very bad, IMO, to zap real sats and the other one gets cowboy credits because he hasn't connected to an external wallet. There are many methods of connecting an external wallet. If I, being a non-technical guy, have connected my wallets for receiving and sending easily, I think all of you can do it.

All these questions wouldn't exist if someone connected with an external wallet. Am I right @k00b and @ek?

I've grown up now and I have no patience for guessing what you don't tell me. I'm tired of guessing. I want to hear it and I want to see it.

I'm grown up now. I don't waste time giving people hundreds of second chances.

Loneliness doesn't scare me like it used to.

I’ve lately realized that I’m getting older. And as I get older, I realize that I can’t do this "I told you, and you told me" stuff. This was all super boring and 100 percent a waste of time. 

With age, I realize that I cannot change anyone’s mind. Whatever is in someone’s mind, someone tends to do that.  

As I get older, I see my time shrinking. And I'm more in search of love and help from the person next to me, to be invested in. 

As I get older, I don't want many complicated things.  

It's enough for me to have the people I love!

I think there is no education today. 

Let's be honest.

There is schooling, yes, but not education.
Schooling is one thing and education is another. 
So today children are just being schooled, being taught.

For what?

To secure a job.
The profit machine! That's the problem.

As long as the dominant value of the system in our society is profit, don't look for it... it permeates all human relationships, and it permeates all social activities, like education and everything else.
