Not sure, but once in a FOSS discussion, users recommended these :

https://f-droid.org/packages/org.stypox.dicio
with an AI coding assistant admitting to a "catastrophic failure" after wiping out an entire company database containing over 2,400 business records
They're doomed haha
I deleted all my useless accounts on websites and social media (Reddit, X, Insta, FB, TikTok, WhatsApp). The only one I use is YouTube, and that too through an open source client (you can make changes like removing Shorts, comments) called NewPipe from F-Droid.
Now, after doing all this, the urge to create new accounts and go back was the worst, but I used DNS like NextDNS and blacklisted all the social media and everything that's distracting. It also works as a great ad blocker as well, with a lot of lists.
Now I'm just here on Stacker News (not much active) and I sometimes visit Hacker News and Reddit (it has some great subs). I'd recommend you visit these two subs: r/digitalminimalism and r/nosurf.
I have now realised to use my devices as a tool and how to use the Internet wisely. I spend more time reading now, my focus has increased, and I sleep well now.
And more generally, do you feel like you are winning this battle? If you have a kid, do you feel like you are able to help them navigate this world full of addictive short-form content?
I feel like I'm definitely winning. As for kids, you should never give them access to uncontrolled Internet, and you can do the same on kids' devices as well. Basically, if you talk to them openly about everything, they'll understand and would be careful, but do it before giving them access.
You got a point. I mean the algorithm is not like that of Reddit and Instagram, which is just to capture your attention all the time by showing old to new posts and even days old posts to grab your attention. Stacker News is way different and great.
Open source, The only place with a decent user base that doesn't hoot for AI generated content and actually values real human interaction is evident in the number of zaps you receive. It's a pay2post platform where you feel like a user and not a product. There are no algorithms and no annoying advertisements. They genuinely care about your feedback and users share a lot of things on territories (it's like sub reddit which you create by paying and you even earn revenue from it as users interact in your territory) about Bitcoin, economy, Science, AI, Mining, cars and so much.
This is how I discussed about Stacker News on Nostr when a user asked me.
High-earning men are simultaneously more likely to be married to stay-at-home wives, and more likely to be married to high-earning women.
Why?
Thanks for your advice! I'm already keeping myself away from this internet world as much as I can. Offline life is little boring though, but I'm getting used to it.
I'm not sure either. It seems that many companies are testing their advanced programs in laboratories with select researchers. Google, Microsoft, and pharmaceutical companies are all involved in this. Individual researchers are also creating their own agents using platforms that many AI models for a subscription fee.
My professor has a friend who uses Poe.com, which provides access to some of the best models at the cost of a ChatGPT Pro subscription. You can create agents that work very effectively and assign different models to them, such as Qwen, Claude, Liquide, Gemini, Palm, Deepseek, and more. I did tried their pro plan and created several teacher agents, which was a great experience. It's been a year, and I'm sure they have advanced even further. This might be one of the best ways to experience your agents.
