Hey stackers, I’m in Mexico, at a resort:
- everything is paid through credit cards
- automated tips included that none of the workers ever see
- extra charge for converting and charging US dollars (about 12%)
- of course taxes
- ATM doesn’t take my visa debit card, so can’t take out cash

I would love to pay the people, not the system. Sounds like an ideal opportunity to teach some folks Lightning. Which wallet should I recommend?

Easy setup and immediately accepting small amounts matter the most, so I’m thinking Wallet of Satoshi and they can later move it to a hw wallet once they understand more. Any better options?

What do you think about the trade off between custodial LN wallet (like stacker.news, you just tip by one press) vs self-custodial, using your own wallet (but much worse experience paying LN invoice for every tip)

Do you plan to build an iOS/Android app for listening?

It seems like for music, this would significantly improve the experience through seamless integration with the OS.
