I don't want to seem contemptful of my current employer, but my disatisfaction has been ongoing, and due to my personal circumstances (read laziness and bad timing) I don't want to leave this job until I go on an extended vacation, which I've been planning for a while.

Stacker News has been quite busy the last hour! nice to see so much life in the morning. As is often the case when I write these, I'm not going to work today. A little hungover from a double gin and ginger I had last night celebrating a friend's birthday. I don't usually do that kind of thing on a weekday, but my friends know, I'm always thinking about getting a new job, so my level of concern for this one is pretty low. I did get them to pay for a marine corrosion certification class though, which will look great on my resume.
