To be fair, the decline had already begun before ChatGPT launched. LLMs likely accelerated this decline, and COVID-19 only paused it temporarily.

I think it's more important than ever to ask ourselves: Is this true? How do I know? What are my sources? However, most people probably don't have time to ask these questions and must rely on trusted sources—as we all do at some point.

I hope SN doesn't meet the same fate as SO. I'm here on SN for now, though who knows what the future holds.

I am wired differently. I rarely listen to music of my own will. That doesn't mean I can't enjoy music — I do, when I am at a place where there is music. Hell, I don't even listen to podcasts. And when I am out in nature or on the train, I try to absorb what is around me and interact with people, but that gets weirder and weirder every year. Most people seem to enjoy having something plugged into their ears or being permanently bombarded with things. Sorry about the ramble — I hope you find some good recommendations for music to listen to.

Yes, it refers to on-chain transactions. LN is not really quantifiable due to the reasons you mentioned, and also because of private channels.

Same energy: Saw a guy the other day store his Bitcoin seed phrases (containing small amounts) on cloud services like iCloud and Google Drive to 'prove' they're secure.

That is a good question. I just posted that on Nostr today: «I might start a local bitcoin meetup.» I feel a bit isolated at the moment and I think starting a meetup would be a good idea to meet like minded people. Before I would start one, maybe look if there is already something like that near you.

At one point I was more interested in chess. Magnus Carlsen is a beast.
