Looking forward to getting my quantum Bitaxe.
If I recall correctly, Noah was mocked and laughed at for building the ark. A lot of similarities with that story.
The only reason they aren't eating dirt in China is because of free market reforms. Communism equals slavery so of course they have a productive manufacturing economy with so many slaves to work in the factories. But they allow just enough free market activity so the whole evil system doesn't collapse like the house of cards it is. It will collapse though because central planning always fails.
I meant being too poor to save anything. Like some people just have barely enough to survive let alone stack sats. I don't how accurate this is, it's just what I've heard is one of the issues preventing more widespread adoption. I wasn't referring to transaction fees.
It's unfortunate that the people of El Salvador didn't embrace bitcoin more. I keep hearing adoption is very low because people either are too poor to save anything in bitcoin, or are just uninterested. Either way, an incredible opportunity was missed. If widespread adoption occurred and a significant percentage of the population had stacked, the current situation would be very different.
Yet another incentive to bloat government with millions of jobs: use government workers as leverage to get unlimited spending bills passed. The more workers on payroll the more leverage and the more spending (for everything but the workers of course).
The finance guy mentality is getting weird at this point. They've been saying that since it was worth a $1. Now it's a $100k how do they work that into their speculation/gambling model? Like are they really that lacking in intellectual curiosity where they can't consider that maybe they missed something? It's bizarre.
In defense of 1-3, Palpatine was a great a villain. The way he manipulated everyone, especially Anakin, throughout the 3 movies, culminating in total victory at the end of the 3rd movie, was a masterwork in villainy. Outside of this character though they were really horrible.
The general thin skinned mentality that seems to have taken over society.
As for malls, good riddance. Ugly scabs on the landscape that should all be bulldozed. Jeff Bezos deserves a billion dollars for obsoleting malls.
This is stupid. I can't think of any reason to do this other than to attack bitcoin by creating confusion.
If you don't save for the future you will more likely be a burden on others. So saving (aka hoarding) makes the world a better place.
Seems like he really let the "Bitcoin Jesus" thing go to his head. He's got both a major martyr complex and a God complex going on.
