I'm not one to turn away free sats, but I just realized for the past few days that I'm getting unusually high territory awards that seem unrelated to the daily activity in the territory.

Is this perhaps a bug, or make up payments for older, miscalculated awards?

No, I think you only get the boost award the day the boost is posted.

I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. Was a bit of a slow day in sports. Last time I had something like this someone had 10k boosted in the territory.

Yes you can boost an old post. But I don't know for how long. Looks like I can't boost really old posts but I can boost posts I made last week.
