These are all funny because they're all true. The question is: when? The thing I'm always trying to figure out is how much I need to understand. Like, you can use React without understanding many JS / browser details. But understanding those details gives you a much better understanding of what React is doing. So how deep do you go?

It's easy to waste time using the excuse that a deeper understanding pays off in the end. But everything's tradeoffs.
