Firefox could be put out of business should a court implement all the Justice Department’s proposals to restrict Google’s search monopoly, an executive for the browser owner Mozilla testified Friday. “It’s very frightening,” Mozilla CFO Eric Muhlheim said.
The irony is wild.
They shouldn't have built their entire revenue model on being a Google lapdog.

Indeed. But the irony to me is the "unintended" consequence of this dumb monopoly case against Google might actually kill the only real competitor in the market for browsers.
Not a fan of these state attempts to "fight" monopoly. Its laughable.

but I think it also shows the degree to which Google has monopolized the market, that competition is inherently impossible (which is how monopolies form in the first place)
so you could also argue that this shows why Google needs to be broken up
