The race finally came and went. I trained hard to try to reach the goal of finishing the race in under 4 hours, but was unable to do so. Had a great start and was on pace to finish in under 4 hours, but my endurance was lacking and my pacing fell off a cliff after about 33km. Ended up running the final 9km at a slow pace and failed my sub 4 hour finish time attempt. Will try again next year. I did get a personal best though, so I guess the results isn't all bad. Will need work harder on training up my endurance next year, so I can keep pace and push through the final portion. Here are the results. I blocked out the actual time and average pace so it can't be used to cross reference with the official site to doxx my real name. Just showing that I finished in over 4 hours.
Got another piece of useless hardware to put in the box with the other useless hardware. Indulging in an ice cold beer and a delicious Krispy Kreme doughnut. Taking in all that alcohol, processed sugar, and seed oil, while not giving a fuck. Whiskey to come tonight. Life is good!
Badass! Grab one of those nasty Krispy Kreme drinks, too. You earned it.

Haha, my wife bought a dozen from the park from a kid fund raising to go play football (soccer) in Europe. We live pretty far away from the only Krispy Kreme store in Greater Vancouver, so we don't head over there often. Can go get an extra large, extra fat smoothie from McDonald's though, haha.

1000 sats to you! CONGRATULATIONS!
Processed sugar well earned. I’ve enjoyed folllowing your marathon journey on ~HealthAndFitness
I get all the warm fuzzy feeling like I was running and training for the race right alongside you, but without having to run laps around all of Vancouver!
Congrats!

Aw man, thank you for the support and your sats! And most importantly, thank you and your co-founders for creating this territory so I can post about my weak ass marathon training log and my failed sub 4hr marathon attempt haha.

I won’t say @grayruby @Undisciplined and @IamSINGLE are laughing at your weak ass and your failures, but I am 👺

Thanks! That's the goal.
You watching the Warriors Rockets game? I'm at my son's ringette practice, so can't watch the game.

Congrats on the PR! Keep chopping off the minutes. Be sure to write down what went well & where you can improve: running, gear, nutrition, mentally, and prep to see where you can improve next time! Gotta have the positive imagery! Cheers 🍻
