Looks like just a few bitcoin will be all it takes to retire within a decade and less than 2 BTC to retire in 2040.

I don't know if I will get 1 BTC complete, but I also do my homework.

Yeah. Just DCA for at least 10 years and you should be just fine.

We have no idea where BTC will be 2-3 years from now, so this is kinda pointless, don't ya think?

Yes but it’s a chart with numbers and data that could serve as a useful tool to make an educated guess about retirement stacking goals.
I’ll never really retire so it’s more of a guide as to when I can switch to only working on passion projects or at least go on some longer trips.

It’s hard to believe these charts. Everything boils down to purchasing power. It would be nice to think by 2040 the cash balances in bitcoin have skyrocketed to the point where 2 BTC is enough to meet all of your needs but then again you might only need 0.1BTC if you live a modest lifestyle.

I agree and what somebody in the US or Europe needs is vastly different than someone in El Salvador.
Useful tool for making educated guesses though.

Actually needs are the same for all humans.

People in different parts of the world need different amounts of money to survive.
$100k goes much further in Asia than it does in NYC.

no idea how to read this. I need 11 btc to retire this year if I am 5 or 10 btc if 75? 1 btc covers 70 years at $100k/yr? nonsense...

I think this one makes more sense, check it: https://www.unchained.com/retirement-calculator

Yeah, def seems off but an interesting chart nonetheless.

Yes but bitcoin is all about patience and consistency over a long period of time.
Water cuts through rock not because of its strength but because of its consistency.
Be water.
