A few years ago there we worried about too much hashrate stemming from China... centralization/rug risk of such an awful, dictatorial regime.
Boom China mining ban, and the exodus trail of ASICs out of there -- to Russia, Kazahkstan, and most importantly Texas.
The new Cambridge report out today suggest that 75%(!) of mining is now in the U.S. While Trump admin is somewhat happy about/pro-Bitcoin these days, political winds can switch fast.
Bitcoiners aren't paying enough attention to this risk. It's not a great idea for "all remaining bitcoin to be mined in the U.S.!"
Scary.

I've assembled (and bought) and subsequently donated 8 bitaxes to nocoiner friends and every time I talk to any of these people we talk about this and basically nothing else.
One of them has moved upward to buy a whole S21+ after doing the math. Another is taking it slower and has ordered a NerdQAxe.
New miner inspiration fueled by the simple fact that you really don't have to talk about politics on Xmas and bday parties when you wrap a bitaxe as a gift. You'll talk about bitcoin the whole party and not about the price. But about how magical it is.

I'm increasing my home mining set up. That's all I can personally do.
However, I'd love to see some of Australia's excess solar being put to better use. It's not really on their radar yet. Hopeful that will change in the coming years.

40TH is pretty significant. What would you do in summer?
I guess if you had an agreement with someone in the southern hemisphere you could ship to each other depending on the season.

Haha, yeah!
It has five different settings, so you'd just run them at lower level (not the full 40, which is pretty noisy anyway). Also, where I live it gets cold in summer too

We all should have a bitaxe at home! Everyone! Flip the flippening!
