Hey!

We (still) believe that Reddit users should be the most receptive to Stacker News.

Therefore, we’ve decided to experiment with something new:

We’re going to pay 2,500 sats every day to the best Reddit post or comment that includes a link to SN.

We consider a post or comment “good” if it has a lot of upvotes or comments. If you think yours could win, post a link to it here (or just post a link to all of them that include a link to SN).

However, since this is just an experiment, everything about it might change at any time—the bounty amount, how we pick winners, how often we do it, or even whether we keep doing it at all.

Looking forward to seeing how this goes!

Oh and remember: SN is not just about ~bitcoin, so you can share links to SN anywhere on Reddit.

@ek every time I switch to this account (via switch account) and make a post or comment it prompts me to add a lightning address but I have always had a lightning address attached and even if I enter my address into the prompt, I still get the prompt again the next comment or post.

Only happens on this account. grayruby account is fine.

Tips to increase Stacker News users (I thought of this recently):

Make a Stacker News Reddit account
Use the Intip bot
Zap good comments (users of Reddit) some sats (even 20 is enough).
You'll get acknowledged!
Get more visitors

Reddit has become really controlling. Mods ban you easily if you share a link to external sites. Go to the Bitcoin subreddit and try to link a post from here; users are so up that they downvote even without seeing it, and mods ban you for no reason. This method looks good. Users are frustrated and are trying to find a new place for where there is noo spam, like many have moved to Stack Exchange. I'm sure when they see Stacker News, they'll jump on it, just like I did.
