Notes:
  • Cashu wallets are tied to Embedded LND wallets. Enable under Settings > Ecash
  • Other wallet types can still sweep funds from Cashu tokens
  • ZEUS Pay now supports Cashu address types. You can switch between Zaplocker, Cashu, and NWC mode but can only use one at a time.
  • Atomic swaps are not featured in this build. Stay tuned!
Growing and growing concern that Zeus is "doing too much". I know I can delete/remove wallets to bring it back to simply being a remote client, but is all this "latest and greatest" dev really helping Zeus and its users? Where is the demand for Cashu versus "it's cool"?
Not saying to hate – saying out of concern. I love Zeus. I'd love to better understand why these things are being supported over other features (e.g. adding ability to connect to an electrum server so you can have watch-only wallets etc).

Watch-only wallets is an on-chain thing. I'd rather Zeus focus on lightning payments, of which ecash is a type of.

There already is support for watch-only wallets. You can even open channels from external signers. Menu > Tools > Accounts > +

I have used this but unfortunately never got it to work and we can’t delete accounts once added so I haven’t been able to readily try again.
However, it was just an example. I truly love your app, I’m just getting a bit concerned about the ballooning featureset. Still a daily user.

After doing a lot of research, Zeus really stands out from the rest. As a beginner, we end up using everything, and over time we get "disgusted" with some of them. Now, on to Olympus.

Do you pick the mint for the customer? If the customer picks, how do you help them make an informed choice about who to store their money with?
reply
There’s a “Discover mint” options that grab the data of the most trusted mints from https://bitcoinmints.com/

Unfortunately, the reviews don't show timestamps which makes them a lot less useful imo. I requested this feature in February (ticket) but last commit was made 6 months ago.

Fair point. Am not even sure what's the number on the right side indicates. Does not coincide with the rating value nor with the number of reviews shown on bitcoinmints
