@Car requested a notification via email when the territory rent is due at least 6 months ago and we still didn't get to it (ticket).
Since I am more embarrassed of that than to offer the following, I am offering the following makeshift solution:
Send an email to ek@stacker.news if you want to receive an email notification when your territory rent is due. Please include the territory for which you want to receive them.
This way, I know that you want to opt-in to these notifications and where you want to receive them since we don't store emails in plaintext (assuming you even added email as an authentication method).
That's all!

If I am not sure if you're actually the founder of the territory for which you're requesting reminders, I might ask you to add the email you used as an authentication method to your account on SN.

Just curious, what makes it difficult? I saw that it was tagged with difficulty:medium

It's probably not really difficult, it's just that I don't want to switch context from working on the wallets to two completely different things (territory+mail).
Getting all of these things right might take a day:
  • consistent UI for this unique setting which requires giving us an email address
  • instant feature creep: maybe also allow external notifications via nostr??
  • mail template
  • how often to send out the mail
  • testing
  • error handling
So it's more a priority issue than it being particularly difficult.
If you're interested in working on it, go for it!

Ah, cool. Maybe it's something I'd try down the road if someone doesn't get to it first. I've got some research deadlines to meet (boo! I'd rather work on SN), so unfortunately don't have much bandwidth right now.

Allow notifications via Nostr.
Aha! That's the way. Thanks for the great work

This sounds like a fun ticket to work on, if only I had time
