What if we made all advertising illegal? It's such a wild idea that I've never heard it in the public discourse.
Have you ever thought about this? Read this excellent article and share your opinion.

I had never thought of that idea, but I see it as something unlikely to happen, I don't think that making it illegal and banning them is the solution, banning something is never usually the solution.

Might be a more effective, and human approach than what Bill Hicks suggested back in the 90's.

Nah, it would lead to corruption in the ranks of whoever's job it is to decide what constitutes "advertising" and what doesn't.
Banning human behavior is almost never the answer, imo.

There is no longer corruption when someone decides what is promoted or not? In a world where everything is about influence and money is what counts.
