FIFA president Gianni Infantino has said the United States and the United Kingdom are poised to be named as hosts of the Women's World Cup in 2031 and 2035, respectively. Infantino told the UEFA Congress in Belgrade on Thursday that the joint bid from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland was the only "valid bid" of interest for the 2035 tournament after the deadline passed, with the United States also putting forward the only bid for the 2031 edition.

Nice. Canada is very good at women's soccer. Hopefully they dominate the US on their home field.

Canada and Mexico have withdrawn from hosting the World Cup. Otherwise, it would be more easier to dominate for Canada due to the home advantage.

Really? Is that because they are mad about tariffs?

I don't think its due to tariffs. Canada is one of the co-hosts of the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup, so they may have withdrawn from hosting the 2031 Women's World Cup to avoid overlapping with other major events.
