I know many animals can sprint quickly, but how many could outlast a human over a mile?
Sure, horses would beat every human. Dogs would too.
But how about bears? Or cows? Or a common house cat?
Bears for sure. They can run very long distances.
Probably not cows, but most hooved animals would.
Ostriches can run long distances, I think.

Bears can also run very fast and much faster than humans.
reply
Yep. They're similarly fast to moose on the high end.

They look like they'd get tired really quick, what do bears run long distances for? Never seen that on National Geographic
reply
Some places have tried to implement bear relocation programs, where they fly bears very long distances away from an urban area.
Bears have been observed returning to the area more quickly than would be possible if they had walked.

Many dog breeds, and I'm thinking my cat would have more stamina than me for a mile.

I could beat a cow over a mile maybe a bear not sure if they could have me for pace over a mile . Same with a cat it would be fast out the blocks but think it will slow up
