I've registered mt 1st Reddit account few week ago. I don't normally use Reddit, but I needed to write to a user I could only contact there, so I signed up.
I wrote to this user and, waiting for his response, I started browsing this platform and, occasionally, I also replied to some posts.
I immediately noticed that my Karma did not rise and that I had to wait 10 minutes from my previous post to respond and no one have replied to my comment or to my post.
Only after a couple of week, I've casually discovered that my account was shadow banned.
Trying to solve the Reddit issue (before discover the shadowban) I've also tried to connect through TOR at reddit onion site, but I was not able to login with my reddit account. Trying to login with TOR, I've made a new account with the same email address.
I really can't understand what is the problem of Reddit.
Have you any similar experiences? Have you any suggestion?

Don't use Reddit from Tor. Also, when you create a new account, don't immediately send a message to anyone directly just wait for some time for trust to build. Make yourself a feed and upvote some posts and comments. A shadowban is a step before a permanent ban, so be careful next time.

Sorry, but I can't understand. Reddit has Onion website, so is usable under Tor. Can you explain why not use Reddit under Tor ? Thanks for all

I'm not sure either, but users themselves claimed that they were perma banned from Reddit when they used it with Tor. As far as I know, it's only meant to browse anonymously and to make throwaway accounts; that's what I was told as well. Anyway, I may still be wrong, as Reddit is not what it was a few years back. All transparency is gone, and I can't trust them much.

I understand what you're saying, but if Reddit didn't want people to use Tor, they would just put a block, instead they created the site in Onion, an indication that they want to promote this type of navigation.
At least I or hypothesized this when I was proposed to switch to the Onion site

Reddit is very fast on the shadowban switch. And rightfully so, they're under more bot attacks, astroturfs and brigading than any other platform.
What triggered it in your case were probably the frequent IP changes that come with Tor. Mitigation is using an account that already has trust built up. Or establish an account via VPN instead of Tor

Actually, I created the account with Chromium in incognito mode. I tried via tor after a couple of weeks to see why I couldn't post except once every 10 minutes.
There I realized that through Tor I could access the portal in clearnet, but not the Onion portal. For that he made me recreate a new account using the same email and this left me completely dumbfounded.
