Hello Stackers!
It's Thursday so that means it's Throwback Thursday Time!
I'm going to give you a bunch of clues and I want you to guess the year and comment a song from that year. Highest ranked correct answer (by "top") gets the bounty. Entries close prior to "Feel Good Friday" Post.
🚨A guess without a correct song doesn't win, both your guess and the song must be from the correct year.🚨
Here we go!
  • Billboard "Hot 100" Launch: Billboard magazine in the United States launched its "Hot 100" singles chart on August 4, with Ricky Nelson's "Poor Little Fool" as the #1 record.
  • RCA Stereo LPs: RCA began releasing long-playing albums (LPs) in stereo.
  • 78 RPM Production Ceases: Major record labels began to cease production of 78 rpm records.
  • Elvis Presley's Army Service: Elvis Presley's music and movie career was interrupted when he was drafted into the Army and served in Germany for two years.
  • "Move It" by Cliff Richard: Cliff Richard's "Move It" reached number two on the UK Singles Chart, considered one of the first rock 'n' roll hits written and produced outside the U.S.
  • The Stroll: The Stroll became rock and roll's first dance craze.
