The electric shower was invented by a Brazilian engineer named Francisco Canho in 1945. At that time, people relied on traditional methods of heating water, such as gas or wood heaters. However, these methods were inefficient, expensive, and often dangerous. Francisco Canhos, who was an engineer at Light, the electricity company in Rio de Janeiro, decided to create an electrical solution to the problem. He designed the first electric shower and patented the invention in 1948. Canho’s electric shower consisted of an electrical resistance that heated the water as it passed through it. The water was fed to the shower head through a tube, where it was released as a hot jet. Canho’s electric shower was a safer, more efficient, and more convenient alternative to traditional methods of heating water. Canho’s invention was an instant success. Soon, electric showers were mass-produced and became a popular product throughout the country. In 1950, Light began selling electric showers and, in a short time, they became a must-have item in every Brazilian home. Today, electric showers are a common product all over the world. Canho's invention revolutionized the way people heat water in their homes. It brought safety, efficiency and convenience to people's daily lives and helped to accompany the development of electricity in Brazil.
the usa primarily uses centrally heated water. Hot water isn't necessary, but very pleasant in various circumstances, like washing dishes and hands. Thinking about it, given that the hot water has to run through pipes to get to the end user, I imagine centrally heated water must be less efficient. i wonder.
