The Telescope Fish (Gigantura) is a truly fascinating deep-sea marine creature. It gets its name from its unusually large eyes, which look like a pair of tiny telescopes protruding from either side of its head. These oversized eyes allow the Telescope Fish to see in the perpetual darkness of the deep ocean.
